CONDEMN AND RAISE YOUR VOICE AGAINST AERIAL TERRORISM ON THE PEOPLE’S LIBERATION GUERRILLA ARMY AND THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BASTAR!

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) strongly condemns the blitz carried out by the Chhattisgarh police, CRPF (CoBRA), STF, DRG and Greyhounds, supported by Indian Army and Air Force officials and technicians in the Pamed guerrilla base area of South Bastar on the 15th of April at 01:00 targeting the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army and the local tribal people.

More than 50 drones were used in this aerial bombing and more than 50 high-explosive bombs were dropped, hitting some huts made by villagers in jungles to store their forest produce. The People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army and the people were alert enough and narrowly escaped from the bombing.

This was an attack according to Modi’s model of surgical strikes executed by the police and Army personnel following the guidelines of Home Minister Amit Shah, Ajit Dowal, Vijay Kumar and Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel and is nothing but aerial terrorism. This is the second attack after the one on the 19th of April, 2021.

The deployment of the Army in the 5th Scheduled Area of tribal people is not only unconstitutional but also against the Indigenous People’s Chapter of the United Nations. Aerial bombing is not only inhumane but also a gross violation of international law. The Central and State Governments are establishing police and paramilitary camps in tribal areas of Bastar, Jharkand, Orissa and Maharashtra without the consent of the Gram Sabhas as per the provisions of the Panchayat Extension to Scheduled Areas. This, too, is unconstitutional. Tribal people have been agitating against these camps since November 2019, while heavy repression has been going on.

In fact, Modi is handing over public wealth and resources to Indian and foreign corporations and to fulfill the purpose of unleashing the present onslaught on farmers, workers, small traders, tribals, Muslims and other oppressed people. The attacks also aim at wiping out the organs of people’s political power, the revolutionary people’s committees in Bastar.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Maoist) calls upon all the directors and cadres of the Party, commanders of the People’s Liberation Guerrilla Army and the revolutionary people’s committees to stiffly resist the ongoing offensive. The Central Committee appeals to all the democrats, progressive forces, human rights organisations, workers, peasants, students, youth, journalists, leftist parties and forces and anti-Hindutva forces to raise high their voice against the drone attacks on the people of Bastar.

The Central Committee appeals to the International Committee to Support the People’s War in India, all the Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Parties and forces all over the world, the world proletariat and the toiling masses to come forward and make serious protests against the drone attacks, which are part of the reactionary and counter-revolutionary «SAMADHAN-Prahaar» offensive, which is nothing but war on the tribal people of Central and Eastern India. It also calls to build strong solidarity with the Indian revolutionary movement. The Central Committee also appeals to the proletariat of the respective countries to oppose and boycott all the programmes and policies in relation to the Indian Government. It appeals to all the international human rights organisations to raise the issue in international forums.
